Basics of Grammar

English is a Language and now it has become international Language.It has a rich grammar.This is our first lesson.

Each of the English Alphabet is called a letter.
Thus 'a' is a letter 'n' is a letter.

There are two types of Letters in English Language.=  1.Capital Letters and 2. Small Letters


     A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

2. small letters=

   a  b  c  d  e  f  g  h  i  j  k  l  m  n  o  p  q  r  s  t  u  v  w  x  y  z

There are two types of letters in English .

1. Vowels  =  These are pronounce on their own,these need not help.

2. Consonant = these need  help to be pronounced.

Five Vowels =

Twenty one Consonants=

Two are Semi Vowels

WORD  =  a word is a letter or a group of letters having a meaning or a complete sense.
cow is a word, not woc.Because by cow we understand what it means,not by woc.

SYLLABLE= Syllable is a part of a word which can be pronounced at once or at a time.
umbrella =um+ bre+ lla

SENTENCE=sentence is a word or a group of words having a meaning or a complete sense .
Thus 'Grass eats cow' is not a sentence 'Cow eats grass' is a sentence..

SUBJECT= in a sentence of whom is said is subject.

PREDICATE=what is said about subject is Predicate.

He goes to school.
Here 'he' is Subject and 'goes to school' is predicate.
